Arch Rock Primer Pack/IP

Arch Rock Primer Pack/IP is a standards-based, out-of-the-box wireless sensor network (WSN) application development and deployment platform. With its service-oriented architecture (SOA), Internet Protocol (IP)-based networking, and secure, reliable, responsive, low-power mesh networking, the Primer Pack/IP provides a foundation for rapid development of production deployments and seamless integration with the IT enterprise.



Primer Pack/IP is the fi­rst sensor network to run IETF standards-based native IP protocols end-to-end allowing direct, real-time access to the sensor nodes using IP over IEEE 802.15.4 radios. It enables sensor nodes to communicate directly with other IP devices over a variety of links such as Ethernet, WiFi, and cellular networks, as well as 6LoWPAN or other networks. The Primer Pack/IP monitors environmental conditions such as temperature, light, and humidity from onboard sensors.

Expansion ports and integrated sensor drivers allow users to easily augment sensor nodes by choosing from thousands of different external switches, sensors, and relays to create uniquely tailored wireless networks. Furthermore, a Web-based interface lets users add external sensors without writing embedded software on the sensor nodes. Data can be accessed through Web Services or SQL database connections, linking the wireless sensor network with a variety of popular and standard application development environments.
