Arch Rock IPserial Node is an 802.15.4 wireless digital interconnect with a serial interface that is used to connect wireless sensor networks to data loggers, smart digital sensors, and remote sensing and control systems that use legacy wired buses such as Modbus or BACnet.
Arch Rock IPserial Node
The compact, fully-enclosed, IPserial Node can be mounted in residential, industrial, or enterprise settings and will automatically join the Arch Rock PhyNet™ wireless mesh network via an IEEE 802.15.4 standards compliant radio with internal antenna operating at 2.4GHz.

Attach smart digital sensors:
- digital meters
- digital thermostats
- weather stations
- biometric equipment
Connect with existing wired-bus systems:
- Data Loggers
- CLI ports on computing devices
- RS-485
| Features |
Benefits |
| RJ-45 connector supports RS-232/RS-485 |
Attach digital sensors and connect legacy serial interfaces |
| Transfers serial data from the RS-232/RS-485 interface to the TCP connection and vice-versa |
Reclaim previously stranded islands of data in industrial settings |
| IPv4 and IPv6 support that includes an IP address and a DNS hostname for each node |
Nodes in the IP-based Wireless Sensor Network can communicate natively with any other IP devices on the enterprise network regardless of media link |
Individuals and organizations use Arch Rock IPserial Node to:
- Makes the serial port data accessible via a TCP socket (e.g. Telnet)
- Configure and manage the node remotely via a web interface on the PhyNet Server
- The compact, fully-enclosed, IPserial Node can be mounted in residential, industrial, or enterprise settings
