Diverse Hardware Platforms

Our open-systems products provide maximum flexibility and cost efficiency by working across diverse sensor node hardware and OEM platforms from multiple vendors, starting with Intel Mote2, MicaZ and TelosB.

Enterprise Open Standards and Interfaces

Arch Rock products are designed and built upon industry standards and open interfaces. Our gateway systems and sensor node software provide flexible programming interfaces to Enterprise computing systems, based on a Web Services framework including SOAP and REST interfaces, as well as familiar authoring environments for users to generate their own business rules and programs with standard programming and scripting languages.

Wireless Networking Standards

Equally, our wireless networking protocols are based on industry standards that include IEEE 802.15.4 and IEEE 802.11 radio protocols, augmented with reliable low-power mesh networking algorithms for maximum efficiency, increased network durability with limited power budgets from battery operation, and flexible deployment topologies to fit the diverse needs of real-world deployments.

Robust and Open Embedded Platform with TinyOS

Arch Rock sensor node software is built on an industrial-strength version of TinyOS, the open source operating system originally developed by the Arch Rock team at UC Berkeley and Intel. It includes powerful hardware abstraction layers for quick portability across platforms, extensible sensor and actuator drivers to increase customer choices, embedded mesh networking stacks, and a host of in-network collaborative information processing capabilities representing the leading edge of distributed systems technology.

Deployment and Management Tools

Arch Rock's focus on ease of deployment and operation of wireless sensing and control networks is reflected in the delivery of a suite of deployment and site planning tools as well as configuration and management tools for quick installation and ongoing visibility into wireless sensor networks in the real world.
